View from Bethlehem City

The Laborers’ Association for Studies and Development, known by its acronym Shiraa’ (which means “sail” in Arabic), is an independent Palestinian non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of workers and their families in the Bethlehem area.

Founded in 2002 by a group of workers, professionals, labor activists, researchers and lawyers, Shiraa’ is not associated with any political party, and its members and volunteers come from across the Palestinian political spectrum.
